Online Check-in

Online check-in starts 24 hours before flights and ends 90 minutes before take-off. To get checked in online, simply go to the Turkish Airlines website (www.turkishairlines.com), click on the check-in/manage booking tab, fill in all information required and complete your check-in process.

If you have already checked in online, you can save time by going straight to the online check-in desk without having to wait in the line at the other counters and just hand in your baggage.

Check-in Desk at the Airport

Getting your boarding pass at the Turkish Airlines check-in desk is pretty straightforward.

Take all documents required for your travel such as I.D, passport, doctor’s report( where applicable), proof of payment for discount flight tickets and any other necessary documents to be displayed at the desk.

Your baggage will be checked and when that is completed, you’re handed your boarding pass.

Check-in facilities at airports close 45 minutes before take-off for domestic flights and 60 minutes before take-off for international flights.

Turkish Airlines Baggage Allowance

Check-in Baggage

For domestic flights, you’re allowed a maximum of 30kg for business class and 20kg for economy class. For international flights, you’re allowed 30kg for business class and 20kg for economy class if the flight applies the baggage kilo concept.

For flights that apply the baggage piece concept, you’re allowed a maximum of 2 bags each weighing not more than 32kg for business class and 23kg for economy class. Flights to and from Nigeria falls under the baggage piece concept.

Hand Baggage

8kg is the maximum weight of hand baggage allowed on Turkish Airlines for both Economy and Business class but you can take up to 2 bags on Business class whereas just 1 bag is allowed on economy class.
